Marc A Renaud CA

Marc was a contract accountant while he worked his way through Carleton University, graduating in 1979 with a B. Comm. (Honours). He then joined Clarkson Gordon (now Ernst & Young) in 1979 and obtained his CA designation in 1981. While at Clarkson Gordon, Marc was part of the Toronto Business Advisory Group who acted as the part-time vice-president of finance for growing businesses. From 1981 to 1987, Marc was also a part time professor at York University’s undergraduate commerce program. In 1987, he transferred to Arthur Young, New Zealand and was part of their strategic planning committee from 1987 to 1989. He then rejoined the Toronto office of Ernst & Young and worked for their Venture Capital group until 1991. In 1991, Marc started his own practice with emphasis on being the part-time chief financial officer to small, medium and high technology businesses.

Ed Rutland CA

Ed obtained his CA designation in 1976 while working for Price Waterhouse & Co. Since then, he has combined a background in financial management, systems design and organizational development in both private and public sector organizations. During his career, Ed has both managed and evaluated the financial function. He has also participated in several accounting system conversions.

In 1995, Ed started his own practice with an emphasis on owner/managed businesses. Ed has developed and presented seminars on starting a business in Durham Region and Scarborough.
